Samuel joined Abel + Imray in 2018 and is based in the London Office. During his MEng, Samuel studied a wide range of materials science related subject matter, from high performance alloys for aerospace applications and the processing of polymers, to nanomaterials and production of semiconducting devices. For the latter part of his studies, Samuel specialised in the interaction of materials with the human body, and how to exploit positive material cues in the design of medical devices. Samuel’s Master’s project used bio-photonics and statistical learning to characterise the immune response elicited by extracellular matrix derived gels.
During his studies, Samuel worked on the research and development of polymer membranes for the oil and gas sector, and has worked for NHS Digital as a data analyst.
Samuel’s work at Abel + Imray covers a wide range of industries and includes medical devices, metallurgy, materials science, nanotechnology, electronics, inorganic chemistry, and ICT.
